Palm Desert, California — 2 Comments

  1. To those of you who are in the Palm Desert vicinity (Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, Indio, Desert Hot Springs, Idyllwild and the entire Coachella Valley), allow me to extend this invitation.

Our mission is exceptional: we want to create change for the better. Poetry is a way in which we can touch others through our words, our emotions, the innermost part of us that can create movement, energy, passion, and change in our thoughts and hearts, first, and then our communities.

Please join our site and make a point to be a part of something greater than ourselves, where we can interact with each other online before our event on September 24, 2011. There will be more information as time goes by, meantime, we can communicate here, post pictures, poetry, and thoughts about what we would like to see in our world. There should be mutual respect for all ideas and concepts of each one’s perspective, and understand that there is no such thing as political correctness or exclusivity in any camp, just love, kindness, respect, and wholesome passion for better days for all.

I look forward to being a part of this event, and to meeting everyone else in this area, so that we can make a unique voice here in the desert of Southern California, and in our country. We are a reflection of a faction of our country, and a microcosm of the world, so let us reflect ourselves in this way. Thank you for honoring us here in the desert with your talent, your creativity, and your true heart and authentic voices.

  2. Graduation Day: Sean’s Day

Attending a day for someone you love,
A graduate whose life is moving enough, and
Knows little of tomorrow, and what’s out there…

You give your support to those young who await
The life, and its joys; the losses, predestined fate,
And we quaintly borrow the moment, so fair…

To rally around them: for tomorrows, more graduation days,
There will be sorrows, some insight on choices and plays,
And there will be more graduations in time and its clear…

We never stop graduating into new heights of life,
We never stop passing new passages of rite,
We keep to the road, we bring our support to bear

All the lives of our loved ones, helping those growing
All the youth growing old, and those falling, bestowing
    The baton to keep going….Keep going…Keep going…
