  2. The 33 Supports 826 is the fund-raiser for the month of September being held in conjunction with 100,000 Poets For Change event.
826 is a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. Their free student program includes:
in-class tutoring support on writing projects, after-school academic tutoring in all subject areas, writing workshops on everything from cartooning to SAT prep, and much more.
The 33 will donate $1.00 from each “Support 826 Special Sales” during the month of September. Poetry at the 33 is partnering with 826 in their effort to bring about change through one on one education and the written word.

  3. Oh what a day!
Watch for images from our reading today, along with our sidewalk comment board.
Thanks to all those poets and those who took part in our 3300 Club 100 Thousand Poets For Change event. Each one of us can, indeed, make a change. We can learn from the passion and wisdom in the words of others that inspire us to reflect, step towards the light, jump into the
    positive forces for change.
