Hi all, this is the site for Middletown CT. We’re planning an event that will bring together two neighbors…The Buttonwood Tree and St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen, in the North End of Middltown. The afternoon and evening will feature a giant community open mic, with local poets and people who may be putting their thoughts into verse for the first time. All are welcome. The theme is change…what would you like to see changed in the world to make it a better place? How can we make such changes? The evening will end with a reading by a guest poet…soon to be announced. We’re hoping to set up a sidewalk PA System for a portion of the event, so that we can share our words with the neighborhood. And we will be showcasing a number of local charities so you can learn about the good work going on around us.
