Al Kotob Khan – which literally means The Book Shop – is not just a place where you can only shop for books, but it is a place for all those who love to be around books, and consider readings as a kind of a life style rather than just means of information …
For that particular reason, the owner and manager (Mrs. Karam Youssef) was very careful with all the details that help to provide a very intimate and cozy atmosphere for the customers of Al Kotob Khan … the WI FI internet connection, and the professional coffee corner, add the necessary touches so you can spend your time enjoying your favorite coffee while reading your favorite books.
Al Kotob Khan Book Shop opened on the 5th of May 2006 in Maadi area, with the intention of serving all Cairo and Egypt through its dynamic website, www.kotobkhan.com, where you can browse and search through more than 7000 different titles, chosen with a very careful research to cover all range of subjects.
So, whatever your interests might be – wither you like milestone of Modern Egyptian history, monumental and exploration of Ancient Egyptian history, Classic or modern literature, Poetry, exquisite decorative books, splendid art and illustrated books, beloved children’s books … – Al Kotob Khan offers an extraordinary collection of all kinds of books in different languages.
