Our event’s shaping up nicely even if my personal computer’s out of action
(I’m using a library computer right now).
Several poets have volunteered to be featured readers, including Gary Copeland Lilley, Norman Schaefer, Bill Mawhinney of Northwind Arts Center, and poet/bookmaker/artist Rebecca Rafuse. Just this morning, over a food co-op table, Artis (AKA The Spoonman) asked to join us (word-search his name for some great Youtube experience).

The “to end war, poverty and hunger” focus is what the Boiler Room staff, board and I decided to mainly focus on, using some of the aims of Food Not Bombs.

Great to see so many events planned all around the earth.

We’ve now added a third element for the event–following the featured-reader and open-mic sections of our PT 100,000 Poets for Change event, there’s going to be a drum-circle for the sake of drumming in the changes each and all of us want. So bring a drum or something to drum on (pots and pans allowed).
Great to hear about the drum-circle. There will also be drum-circles in Gambia, Warri, Nigeria, Kingston, Jamaica, San Francisco, CA, Albuquerque, NM and Port Townsend, Washington!
